Competent Crew Sailing
June 2007 saw us finally do our RYA Competent Crew Course, arranged with Second Wind Sailing. This was aboard Chewsy, a Moody 41, based out of Troon on the west coast of Scotland.

Arriving at Troon on Sunday 17th June 2007, Chewsy is located on pontoon C.

Leaving Troon on Monday 18h June, our first sail of the week, up to Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae for lunch.

Then up to Rothsay for Monday night before heading up the Kyles of Bute and a stormy (40+ knots of wind) Tuesday night at Tighnabruaich.

Wednesday we headed towards Tarbert, with a lunch stop to practice mooring on a bouy and practice our rowing.
